As a Technical Architect (m/w/d) you are part of our agile software development team and responsible shaping a technical vision with the team. In doing so, you are the team-wide contact person and design the overall architecture in consultation with all relevant stakeholders. You work with the latest technologies and bring your own ideas along.


Your Duties

As a technical architect (m/f/d) you design, describe, and maintain software architecture of the project with our team. Working in consultation with relevant stakeholders, you develop the requirements and determine how these are implemented in the software architecture. In addition to the standard development, you look after the development team in their work. You create the documentation of the software architecture and evaluate the selected architecture as well as the design in terms of functionality, performance, quality and timing. In this way you are a proactive part of our agile team-centric development process, bring in your own experiences and identify risks and opportunities. You will be responsible for advancing and driving the evolution of our internal frameworks, software engineering guidelines, and best practices.

Your Profile

You demonstrate quick comprehension, strong commitment, curiosity and an ability to familiarize yourself with new, complex issues which will lead to a successful integration in our development team. You already have professional experience in various IT projects of different size and think analytically as well as abstractly. You accept new professional and methodical challenges openly and flexibly. You'll also be able to evaluate solutions for optimal decision-making. You bring a high level of social skills; you like to work in a team and at the same time own your areas of responsibility. You like to think outside the box, and you are interested in a networked world that makes things much easier and safer.

 Specifically, this means:

  • Knowledge of several programming or scripting languages, cloud native software development and ideally Apex experience
  • Qualification in the field of mathematics, natural sciences or a comparable domain is desirable
  • Experience working as a Technical Architect or Senior Developer with Architectural responsibility across both frontend and backend. 
  • Know-how of different process models, in terms of the modeling and design of software systems
  • Knowledge of the principles of agile software development
  • A passion for agile development methods such as SCRUM or Kanban
  • Decision-making authority
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English
